Devon formed a unique partnership with Merrick Systems.
Devon is not just a customer -- we also provide critical
input during the development phase to ensure Merrick's
systems meet our critical regulatory, accounting and
technical data management needs. Our objective when
we switched to Merrick was to streamline our data management
process and further integrate important data into the
technical systems that are the foundation of Devon's
reserve and value management. Our relationship with
Merrick is a win-win situation that continuously generates
new opportunities for better leveraging our technical
data.

clean, simplified ProCount database structure gives
us the freedom to utilize the data we collect in the
database in virtually any manner we choose. When special
requests or projects arise, we can get the data to the
individuals that need it quickly and easily through
Microsoft Access reports and queries, without the intervention
of a programmer. [And] the Drawings feature of ProCount
is a great tool for setting-up an entire gathering system
or just a single well. The visual display helps the
user to insure all the measurement objects have been
created and properly connected and in addition, gives
us something our Measurement Department has wanted for
a long time - a measurement schematic! To maximize sales
and manage costs, our field operations and marketing
groups have put together some very creative gathering
systems. ProCount has been able to handle the daily
and monthly allocations for all these situations. The
gathering systems are easily setup and because the entire
system is date driven, the design of every gathering
system for any given month is preserved. This makes
prior period corrections quick and easy!
On RIO

It has allowed us to actually use the historical production data to evaluate potential acquisitions rather than spend all our time manipulating the data from out side sources and making our own Excel spreadsheets.
