focus was on regulatory compliance and pipeline supply
management software for the energy industry. In 1998,
with the release of ProCount, Merrick’s focus
changed to the larger market for production accounting
and field data capture solutions. Over the past few
years, Merrick has emerged as a leader with integrated
solutions for the production operations market. Recently,
Merrick entered the drilling operations market with
a Rapid Component Identification (RCID) solution. Merrick
is a successful business with a sixteen-year history
of growth and profit, and is recognized as a key innovator.

Merrick’s value proposition
is to be the acknowledged industry leader in reducing
production operating costs through industry lessons
learned and best of breed automation technology.
Merrick has experienced rapid growth
since 2000 fueled primarily by the growing market acceptance
of its production operations suite of offerings and
industry knowledge. Over the past 4 years, revenues
have grown at an annual rate of over 40% per year, and
the number of employees has tripled, primarily in development
and client services. A large market, strong product
offering and the increasing need for IT infrastructure
in oil and gas operations present an opportunity for
continued rapid growth. Merrick’s ongoing growth
will come from a combination of organic growth and acquisitions
